SpeakFeel has hired Harry Scanlan in order to bring vision, dedication, skill (and a sense of humour) to the company. Kelly Brooks, President of SpeakFeel,
realized that ramping up the development team was the most important item moving forward. "We have recently won some significant accounts and we are
also working on progressive inhouse products. We required an individual with drive and experience to manage and build these important projects. Harry
is one of the top BlackBerry developers in our region. He also brings years of web development skill to the table."
Harry is experienced with BlackBerry and WebKit (iPhone and Android) technologies and has successfully released various products to the
BlackBerry App Store, including the reknowned BerryBlab forum software. BerryBlab allows Forum Moderators and users to connect to and manage community forums
via their BlackBerry device. Harry is a visionary with mobile technology, so when SpeakFeel required a senior technical expert to propel them to the next level, Scanlan was an automatic top choice.
Noel Webb, Vice-President of SpeakFeel states, "Harry was not only the perfect fit technically but also, he has the capacity to bring a personality and passion to the development of the firm holistically.
It is in this regard that we felt his addition and contribution to the team would prove to be an incredible move forward in the success of SpeakFeel."
When asked why he has chosen to specialize in mobile development, Harry is to the point, "It's no secret that in the next 36 months, smartphones will overtake the PC
as the most common web access device worldwide. We’re moving past the desktop, past the browser and onto new platforms."
Talented mobile developers are in demand right now. Some of the largest organizations, nationally, are aggressively hiring. Why did Harry sign on with SpeakFeel?
"SpeakFeel represents the drive, motivation and dedication required in order to be a successful multinational mobile development house. I wanted to align myself with the best of the best. That is SpeakFeel."
If you are a local to the Guelph Technology scene, you may have seen Harry perform at DemoCampGuelph. He is well-known for the products
he demonstrates and his unique presentation style. Whether you love them or are offended by them, Harry's podium moments are unforgettable.
Harry holds a Bachelor of Computing Degree from the University of Guelph and has been involved in web development for over 6 years. Harry is a recipient of the Canadian Information Processing Society Award of Excellence for Most Outstanding System Project
which was designed for Genesis Worldwide Inc. in 2004.
